Ma'an - Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh affirmed that the government seeks to direct investments to the Ma'an development area and grant it additional incentives for land prices, in addition to the tax incentives stipulated by the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his meeting with dignitaries and popular and official figures in Ma\u2019an governorate, in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Al-Khasawneh stated that the development zone in Ma\u2019an has attracted investments estimated at 400 million dinars, and more than 70% of its employees are from Ma\u2019an governorate, stressing that the investment environment regulation law provides incentives For investors who go to the governorates and provide job opportunities for their children up to 100% tax exemption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Khasawneh talked about a \u201cserious study\u201d being conducted by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to supply the industrial cities in Jordan with Egyptian gas. This reduces production costs for industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And he announced that the government is awaiting, within two months, a study for one of the Arab sovereign funds regarding the land port in Ma'an Governorate, stressing that the government seeks to enhance the social responsibility of companies operating in Ma'an Governorate; Contributing to serving the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He explained that the vision of economic modernization is transient to governments, and aims to raise the economic growth rate to 5% and provide one million job opportunities within 10 years, pointing out that the government is learning to expand the horizons of the private sector and enable it to provide the largest possible number of employment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Khasawneh said that Ma'an has many natural resources, pointing out that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is conducting exploratory activities for oil, gold and copper in some areas of the governorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Khasawneh conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II to the people and children of Ma'an Governorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Khasawneh said, \u201cThe governorate of Ma\u2019an is dear, lofty, and authentic, and it has an honorable history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that \"Ma'an suffers from the challenges of unemployment and poverty, as do some other governorates of the Kingdom, but it is full of competencies and the values \u200b\u200bof magnanimity, manhood, patriotism, and cowardice that bows only to God.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He continued, \"His Majesty King Abdullah II is leading a comprehensive reform project, politically, economically and administratively, with which we enter our second centenary to achieve more achievements.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He pointed out that Ma'an played a pioneering role during the first centenary of the Jordanian state, and its men and women made great contributions in various fields, stressing that it will proceed with the same aspiration, determination and confidence in the second centenary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
